Concert for Pro Musicis

The Pro Musicis Foundation will honor the memory of Father Eugène Merlet on June 24, 2014 with a concert at the French Consulate, hosted by the Consul General of France, Mr. Bertrand Lortholary.

Former and current board members, donors and friends will celebrate the legacy of Father Merlet who founded Pro Musicis in France in 1965 and introduced it to the United States in 1969. He died in Paris on July 11, 2013 two years before the 50th anniversary of Pro Musicis.

In recognition of the profound difference his musical mission has made and continues to make, on June 24th the Pro Musicis family will honor this remarkable, indefatigable human being.

Cellist Sharon Robinson, violinists Jaime Laredo and Carmit Zori, and pianist Andrew Staupe will perform works by Handel, J.S. Bach, Debussy, C.P.E. Bach, and Fauré.
