Financial Aid 2016-2017 – Late Applications and Administrative Appeals

JPEG

I am not satisfied with the decision reached over my application for financial aid for the 2016-2017 academic year. What are my options?

You may request an administrative appeal through February 28, 2017.

Your correspondence will need to include the following elements:
- letter addressed to Mr. Christophe BOUCHARD, Head of the Agency for French Teaching Abroad (AEFE), detailing the reasons of your dissatisfaction and any element susceptible to plead for a favorable reassessment of your application.
- all relevant documents supporting your family situation (such as documents referencing a sudden change of circumstances, increased expanses, change in the family situation)

These documents must imperatively be delivered in person or sent via postal mail to the social services of the Consulate by February 28, 2017.

Requests sent directly to the financial aid department of the AEFE in Paris will not be considered.

I just settled in the New York area and my children will start school in the middle of the academic year – may I still apply for financial aid?

Yes, if you have recently arrived, you are entitled to submit an application for financial aid through February 28, 2017.

Your application will be examined in a timely manner, in direct cooperation with the AEFE.
