No appointement required for holders of diplomatic and official passports; every applicant must appear in person between 9am and 12pm Monday to Friday, except for American holders of diplomatic and official passports who don’t have to appear in person}
This Consulate will only accept applications from residents of the States of New York, New Jersey, Connecticut and Bermuda (we do NOT accept applications from B1/B2 visa holders. They must apply in their country of residence).
Please be advised that visa applications by mail are not accepted.
Attention: The Visa Section does not make any copies. You must bring your documents and the required copies.
Original passport or travel document (+ 1 copy of the identity pages) + copy of your USA visa. Your passport must have been issued less than 10 years ago, be valid for at least three months after your return to the US and have at least 2 blank visas pages left.
One application form filled out completely and signed by the applicant
2 ID pictures with white background, full face, no glasses nor hat, closed mouth, no scarf
If you are not a US citizen, a valid US visa with valid I-94. It must be valid for at least two months after the last day of your stay in the Schengen area.
A diplomatic note (Note verbale) from your Embassy or the US Department of State.
Flight booking : JUST BOOK your trip but DO NOT PURCHASE your tickets until the visa has been approved.
