Digital Breakfast #2
On September 5, the Consulate General had the honor of hosting its second Digital Breakfast, co-organized with French Founders. Mr. Thomas Gayno and Mr. Emmanuel Shalit had the opportunity to present their respective start-ups, Cord Project and Dashlane, in the presence of Mr. Bertrand Lortholary, Consul General of France in York, as well as several French investors and other entrepreneurs, members of French Founders. Each presentation was followed by an exchange during which each speaker had a chance to provide more information about his company.
The Digital Breakfasts, hosted at the Consulate on a monthly basis, ambition to facilitate exchanges between young French entrepreneurs and investors working in the digital economy. These events contribute to the international development of our companies and to the recognition of the quality and professionalism of French innovation.
Numerous French-American partnerships were formed thanks to the initiative of the Consulate and its partners, and a genuine network of French entrepreneurs, the French Tech, has been expanding in New York – and more widely in the United States.
On September 5, two new companies were presented during the third Digital Breakfast :
Launched just the day before, Cord Project is an app that makes it possible to send instant personal or group vocal messages through a smartphone. This new, innovating and user-friendly app has been favorably reviewed in the press as well as by users.
The idea behind Dashlane is to increase digital security for personal data. The software keeps the users’ passwords together in one place, stores bank information and creates individualized digital wallets. Protection and ease of use are the key concepts for this multi-platform application which counts over 2.5 million users today.
