Se loger à New york n’est pas chose impossible. Si l’hébergement y est, il est vrai, plus cher en comparaison avec la France, il existe néanmoins différentes solutions en fonction de la durée de votre séjour et de votre budget.

Mise en garde relative à la location d’un logement depuis la France :
Compte tenu des prix très élevés du logement à New York, la pratique de la colocation ou de la sous-location d’appartement est particulièrement répandue et facilitée par de nombreux sites Internet. De même, la cherté des hôtels incite certaines familles à chercher un logement à louer sur une courte période.
La prudence est de rigueur.
Plusieurs Français ayant été victimes d’escroqueries par le biais de fausses annonces de location d’appartement sur Internet (prix très en deçà du marché, photos ou adresses inventées, faux contrats) il est recommandé de privilégier les sites disposant d’un système de paiement sécurisé et d’éviter le transfert d’argent liquide. En cas de paiement direct à un particulier, il convient d’effectuer un virement interbancaire vers un compte en banque situé aux Etats-Unis en s’abstenant de régler le montant total du séjour.
